See deep space like never before during SPACE WEEK at GCCC.

You are a STAR, that is what you ARE!

Join Dr Nitro and StarGazHER for the Launch of their SPACE G3 Space Time Lab. Each day will have activities and different topics ranging from:

• What are STARS? The birth, life and death of stars
• How to navigate our Gold Canyon Starry Nights and what is in our night sky in July (Night Sky App links)
• Dark Sky Education
• Pop Up Planetarium field trip
• Dr Nitro’s SpaceTime Lab including behind the scenes on how to locate deep space targets, telescope, software and how to stack ancient photons light years away to create awe inspiring images

Space week will inspire young and old to keep looking up.

AGES 8+

ACTIVITIES:

Monday: You are a Star, that's what you are. Star Nursery education.

• Make a Glow in the Dark Star T-Shirt

Tuesday: Constellations, Star Mapping

• Story time with Apache Junction Library + Constellation Craft ( 8+yrs )

Wednesday:

• Field Trip to a Pop Up Planetarium

Thursday: How to preserve our Dark Sky to help us navigate for many years to come

• Collaborative Project to showcase at GCCC

Friday: Deep Space

• Dr Nitro's SPACETIME Lab

Astro Photographer, Neil Jenkins, PhD in Physics and his wife “StarGazHER”, Christy Jenkins will take you on a journey to deep space where stars are born and explore space and time like never before.
